Role Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the delivery of software projects across our client base.

The Business Analyst will be required to help support the discovery, planning, management and delivery of software projects alongside the Project Manager. The right Business Analyst will be business-oriented and have experience gathering requirements for software-focused clients.

The Business Analyst will be joining a talented software and product team that are encompassing all things Agile to ensure that projects are delivered across a matrix team of developers.


  • Generate detailed user stories, test strategy, implementation, and hand over plans
  • Support Scrum meetings and backlog refinements to gather technical requirements/considerations from the team and implement them into user stories.
  • Support (and sometimes lead) client-facing Discovery phases on projects to start the scope identification and requirements gathering process
  • Manage the product backlog, and prioritise features based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Represent the client/stakeholders in developer meetings or for developer queries and make decisions that will regularly affect the product
  • Take ownership for feature requirements being delivered to specification and support the projects through to completion alongside the project managers
  • Work alongside other teams within the business to ensure design, estimation and testing plans are fully scoped

Key requirements

  • Agile experience, including experience working in Scrum to help the scrum master or project manager with delivery
  • Able to consider UX Design, User testing and compliance throughout each project
  • Liaising with the development teams to resolve issues, gather information or explain requirements
  • Track assigned responsibilities on projects to ensure delivery on time
  • Experience with Jira, Trello and Microsoft Project or similar


  • At least a 2:1 undergraduate degree in a related field or further qualifications
  • An interest in technology
  • B2B experience
  • Experience using project management tools, such as
  • Ability to self-teach in addition to learning from team members and helping others
  • Has some basic experience in content writing or video production

The Business Analyst role rewards the right individual with a salary of up to £30,000-£40,000 (DOE) plus benefits. The role is based in Liverpool and is easily commutable from Chester, Wirral, Ellesmere Port, Warrington and Liverpool, with the option of remote working also applicable.
