Founded in 2013, Yozu is a rapidly expanding team of over 40 software developers and UI/UX designers that help SMEs and larger blue-chip corporations around the UK and abroad to leverage technology better within their business. We work closely with our clients to deliver products and platforms that help to transform their business, and have fun developing innovative solutions to complex problems.


We are looking to hire a skilled Front end / WordPress Developer to implement and maintain attractive and functional websites for our clients and our own web portfolio.

You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the creation and implementation of bespoke WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.

To ensure success in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end languages, have a good eye for aesthetics, and attentional to detail!

You will be working closely with the design and marketing teams to help drive the expansion of our business.


  • Assist with the planning and development of websites and bespoke web-based experiences that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Assist with the maintenance and new feature implementation for internal and external web properties
  • Building websites on our chosen CMS including WordPress
  • Developing bespoke functionality and features
  • Integrating websites with third party services through API’s
  • Build superb client relationships by listening to and understanding client requirements with an ambition to exceed expectations throughout every step of the processes
  • Testing and Debugging/UI Testing for both websites and web apps
  • Be knowledgeable on web technologies, helping to guide internal and external discussions on implementation and planning


  • Strong WordPress experience (API Integration, integrations of plugins, bespoke theme creation)
  • Strong knowledge in PHP, MYSQL, Javascript/Ajax, HTML, and CSS/SASS
  • Experience with version control such as BitBucket or GitHub
  • Strong communication skills


  • Agency experience / experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Apache/NGINX infrastructure
  • An eye for UX/UI design – although you will be expected to work closely with a designer
  • Experience with tools such as GULP and/or Webpack
  • Knowledge of other frameworks such as React and Ruby on Rails
