We are looking for a Graduate Software Developer to join our bespoke software development company consisting of a team of passionate developers with a passion for building scalable and robust solutions that have a big impact for our clients. Our software helps businesses across the UK to grow and expand.

Role Summary 

We require an enthusiastic and gifted individual with a proven interest and ability in developing software systems to join our young team of software engineers. The successful candidate will be helping us to develop bespoke software for our growing and varied client base.

On a typical day you will be developing and testing software, fielding questions from clients, updating documentation, refactoring existing code, and designing systems and solutions with the rest of the team.


Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience developing software or services in any mainstream Object Oriented language, in an academic capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and motivated personality
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to debug and diagnose in a sensible and methodical manner


Key Responsibilities

  • Work on new and ongoing projects, developing primarily web-based applications and back-end services for a broad range of clients
  • Develop clean, maintainable code
  • Write clear and concise documentation
  • Work with other team members to design systems and solutions
  • Consult and liaise with clients on a daily basis
  • Develop and issue bug fixes
  • QA projects
  • Take part in peer reviews


Desirable Experience

  • Developing software and systems using Ruby, Java or C#
  • Developing rich web applications (Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery)
  • Experience of Agile methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban
